Amazing! 1,684 kids signed up for our Summer Reading Club, Rustle Up a Good Read! And 241 of those kids and their families attended our final Summer Reading Club event, mini-golfing at Stevenson High School. Check out all the fun!
Drop everything and read Beezus and Ramona before
(or after) you see the movie this summer! Come into the library to check out the Ramona series and ask us for other great books about fun friends and sassy siblings!
To learn more about Ramona, check out our Ramona and Beezus guide.
Taking a trip? Pick up an audiobook!
If you are taking a trip this summer, check out one of our audiobooks to pass the time! We've got a "Family Friendly" audiobooks list, and and one for Junior High too. Pick up an audiobook from our display, or call ahead, and we'll set it aside for you. We also have books you can download to an MP3 player or an iPod. Check these out on our Books page. And have a great trip!
Discover our new artwork!
There will be no doubt you've entered the Youth Services Department the next time you visit us! Above the Reference Desk and throughout the department, artist Gregory Gove has installed new artwork that inspires the imagination! This artwork was generously funded by our Friends of the Library. Here are a few pictures, but you have to see it in action, so visit us soon and tell us what you think!
Could You Survive the Hunger Games?
