New Music – Adult Contemporary

Raul Malo – Lucky One
Ever since his earliest years with the Mavericks, Raul Malo has always come at music sideways, bringing with him an approach to the music that is almost equally informed by vintage pop, Cuban music, ska, and soul/R&B. His voice is as big and rich as ever, and his songs are, if anything, even more rapturously hook-filled.

Neko Case revels in classic pop harmonies, impressionistic lyrics, and luxurious vocals with her sixth album. Included are guest appearances from members of the New Pornographers, Los Lobos, Calexico, and Giant Sand.

The 22nd album from Marianne Faithfull is her third album to be produced by Hal Wilner. The release is their first complete studio album since Strange Weather more than 20 years ago. Like the earlier album, included is a collection of songs written by others and interpreted by the artist.

Chris Isaak returns with his first studio album since 2002's Always Got Tonight. Included on the album are duets with Michelle Branch and Tricia Yearwood.
"...these tracks are rich in sonic detail and lyrical nuance..." -- Billboard
